Our technical design team produced a number of key products to be used within a peristaltic pump. A peristaltic pump is one of the most cost-effective methods of pumping liquid. The pump design uses several rollers mounted on a rotor that pinch a tube against the outer casing. As the rotor turns the pinch in the tube moves around, forcing the liquid inside along with it.
Peristaltic pumps have two key principle advantages over other pump technologies. First, their simplicity makes them low-cost. Secondly, the liquid remains inside the tube instead of entering the pump's workings. This makes them perfect for handling abrasive liquids or liquids that need to be kept hygienic.

Application 1 - Dosing Systems for Swimming Pools Treatment
For application 1, the most specialised of our major peristaltic pump customers, we produce 4 key products for their system.
Instead of selling their pumps to other manufacturers as self-contained products, they use them to dose water treatment chemicals in systems that keep swimming pools and dishwashers clean. They primarily use AC motors since these tasks call for larger volumes of chemicals to be pumped slowly, making long life necessary.

For application 2, we produce 6 unique gearmotor solutions that are used by world leaders in the peristaltic pump sector. Our client has manufacturing facilities in 7 counties and manufactures over 1,000,000 pieces each year.

Application 3 - Industrial Pumps
For application 3, is a system designed for a manufacturer of industrial pumps that emphasise ruggedness or complex electronics. Like application 1, they utilse AC motors but their target market is industrial.
Due to this customers wide range of products, we produced 4 unique gearmotors for their smaller range. On the other end of the scale, they have 2 metre wide pumps that weigh as much as a car and is used to pump slurry out of mine shafts.

Application 4 - Dosing Systems for Water Treatment
Application 4, although for a smaller manufacturer of peristaltic pumps, have products that combine at least one but often several peristaltic pumps with control electronics. These packages are used in large industrial machines of various kinds. Some of them can be controlled over a local area network by a central PC or other programmable controller. To allow such control, they primarily use brushed DC motors.
