The Solution
We pride ourselves on being able to supply DC Gearmotors that are suited to a range of different purposes while requiring minimal maintenance. Our team were able to create a state-of-the-art solution that met the individual demands of our client.
Appliances that utilise mains water risk a reduced lifespan due to the build-up of additional minerals in the water supply. This problem is certainly more prevalent for hard water appliances, which can lead to limescale. To combat this issue, our client creates water softeners that work to remove the minerals from within the water.
The water softeners work by running the water through resin beads, which periodically need to be refreshed through a saltwater wash. When the beads are being washed with salt water it means that part of the system is taken offline; therefore, multiple tanks are employed so when one tank is being cleansed, there is another there to take the load.
The system works by interchanging the different tanks each day, so allowing time for each tank to be completely cleaned. To allow a switch between the two tanks, the devices use valves that are each driven by a Rotalink DC Gearmotor. Our DC Gearmotor is able to deliver the essential reliability required in order to protect appliances from potentially damaging mineral build-up.
